Three Micropoems on Love by Lilian Woo

YOU'RE A RHAPSODY
You're my muse; you're a rhapsody
You're the orchestra of the symphony
That played the serenading melody
The lyrics are as sweet as honey
You're the light of my destiny
We'll be together to complete our journey.
CUPID'S TOUCH
Red roses represent our love
You're as sweet and lovely as a dove
Intoxicating essences emit
Your charm, I couldn't resist
Cupid's arrow pierced our hearts
Bond our souls with Cupid's touch.
ENTWINED SOULS
I feel the warmth in your arms
Drowning in your kiss and charms
Our souls are entwined and hearts melting
The essence of love is intoxicating
Sensuous eyes reveal much affection
Throbbing hearts reign in passion.

Micropoems on Light

● Jyotirmaya Thakur [United Kingdom]
I stood and watched
The day unfold in morning light
Like petals of a flower
Pushed by wind power!
Twilight caught the breeze
As Sun was setting
On the wings of birds
The light was sleeping
Leaving the sandy shores behind!

● Mir Samsul Haque [India]
I'm ablaze sulkily for thousand twilight's
Her scarce arrival puts me in the ignition of fiercely flame
Oh, luminous luna you may cognize the pinches of my heart
You aflame all alone on the azure veil
Be a witness of my lonely griefs!

● Lilian Woo [Malaysia]
Glorious morning
The sun flashes vibrant light
Brighten up the day
The glow of blooming blossoms
Is emitting sweet fragrance.
[Tanka: 5-7-5-7-7]
crimson rays of light
let it shine, light up your life
bless with happiness.
[Haiku: 5-7-5]

● Ranjana Kashyap [India]
It's a bright waking night!
Tonight is the festival of lamps,
The sky is showering the stars,
But I was unaware ;
One day for us in the pavement of my heart,
So many lamps of love will light up,
One day life will be so bright with your love,
I was so unaware of this!

● Jaipreet Grover [India]
Seen or unseen
Illuminates with celestial rays
The power of phosporescent inner light
Is bestowed by the divine light
To enlighten your True Self
Just use it wise!

● Nishat Jabeen [Saudi Arabia]
My truth is in the clasp of gloomy despair
O' Lord of the all Heavens pass a command to the universal lamp
Sprinkle a little more twinkles
And shimmer not just to the dusky countenance
But enlighten to my shadowy existence.

● Jyoti Nair [India]
Sugar maples scamper into our porticos,
drenched in orange-ostentatious conundrums,
ambling through our variegated lives...
our lives; these anagrams of 'abendrot' vine-longings!
[ *Abendrot, is a German word; it means evening red, sunset glow, sunset-light, purple light, afterglow, sunset.]

● Maid Corbic [Bosnia and Herzegovina]
Lightness into the darkness place
Nature brings always new emotions
Which take this place full of charm
And nobody can say that it is illusion
Since we live into the present stage!

● Sumil Sharma [India]
In my darkest sleepless nights
Her touch gives me the courage to see the light
To stand against the fear and fight
Through the gloomy night
And finally see the sight of the light
A Mother's Touch, the perpetual might.

Tanka Poems by Lilian Woo

BLAZING SUN
The blazing sun smiles
Shining from the distant miles
I love the brightness
It brings positivity
To energise up my day.
GOLDEN SPLENDOUR
Morning has broken
Sunrise in golden splendour
Smiling happily
Relish the charm and beauty
Of each wonderful moment.

Saino Poems by Lilian Woo

English Sainos [7-8-9] in Various Themes & Various Rhyme schemes : Lilian Woo

Sweet Indulgence
We waltz in the moonlit night
Soothing moon is gleaming brightly
Your lucious eyes send waves of passion.
Close to you I breathe your breath
I feel loved in your warm embrace
I could hear your heart beats heavily.
Sweet indulgence in kisses
Intoxicating wine we share
Melt our hearts with flush of ecstasy.
[Rhyme scheme : Free Verse]

My Heart Glows
Your presence makes my life glow
You lead me on with a vision
Fragrance of love sets my heart aglow.
Fragrance of love is present
Rapturous visions in your eyes
Sending waves of passion to high rise.
[Rhyme scheme : ABA and ABB]

Rainbow After The Rain
The sea reflects crimson gleam
Solitude is found in my dream
Melodies echo in every stream.
Pain sometimes could be a gain
Rainbow appears after the rain
Let positive thoughts always remain.
Wake up with gorgeous vision
To achieve your goal, take action
Let success blow in your direction.
[Rhyme scheme : AAA]

Butterflies Dance
When dawn breaks in early morn
Listen to the voice of nature
A music energizing the ears.
The chilling wind engulfs me
At my sight butterflies do dance
Gliding and fluttering gracefully.
[Rhyme scheme : Free Verse]

Celestial Sky
Celestial sky bids adieu
The sea reflects its golden gleam
Magnificent sun is descending.
In the splendour of the night
The wonder of the twinkling stars
And the gleaming moon brightens the sky.
[Rhyme scheme : Free Verse]

Tanka Poems by Lilian Woo

Breezy Night
In the breezy night
Winds caressing in silence
Moon is gleaming bright
Stars are glittering above
Giving colours of the night.

Flow of Rhythm
Clasping of sea waves
Rushing to the golden shore
Seagulls soaring high
Listen to the song they sing
Melodic flow of rhythm.

Golden Sands
Waves kissing the shore
Slowly retrieves back to sea
Water shimmering
Sunshine giving reflections
Seashells lay on golden sands.

Gorgeous sunflowers
Gorgeous sunflowers
Facing the radiant sun
Bright yellow petals
Smiling, blooming in splendor
Nectar storing deep within.

Gift of Freedom
Above the blue sky
The gentle doves are flying
Amazing delight
Dancing gracefully in pairs
Enjoy the gift of freedom.
