Five Haiku by Dr. Shailesh Gupta Veer

sweet sunny morning
heard some tender words in phone
day passed in her dreams!

pleasant summer noon
a few moments of soft nap
sweet dreams of honey!

a hot summer day
clicked on an old file folder
clouds started flowing!

on a summer night
sharp whispers and sweet gestures
full moon smiled softly!

pain with memory
beautiful love in summer
wish to meet again!

Three Micropoems by Chakradhar Shukla [India], Translated From Hindi by Dr. Shailesh Gupta Veer [India]

Wish  we could   grow
wheat   in pots
along with flowers,
Would be useful
for the birds!

Convenience charge
is creating
dilemma,
The glacier of
honesty is
melting!

Who cast
a spell in prayer,
My mind is

Micropoems in Hindi by Anna Ferriero [Switzerland], Translated From English by Dr. Shailesh Gupta Veer [India]

Micropoems by Anna Ferriero
[Original in English]

Hug me tight
Keep my heart
Kiss my soul
Bring me
Where there is no time and space
we build
Take me to the heart of spring
Where is it
Even the night
He paints himself white!

Breathe a star
when you feel like summer
in the most beautiful air
perfume of peace.
Listen to your sky
when it is incessant rain.
Breathe that dawn
while you wait for a star!

Five Micropoems on Love by Dr. Shailesh Gupta Veer

I AM MAN
I am illusion
She is truth
I am deception
She is reality
I am evanescent
She is eternal
I am nothing
She is everything
I am man
She is nature!!
BECAUSE
I am flying
I capture the wind
I create words and rhythm
from the breeze
You know...how?
Because
You're with me!
IN HER DREAMS
No Facebook
No Twitter
No WhatsApp
Everything seems pink and gleams
Today I am busy in her dreams!
SLEEPY NOW
We will talk to each other
We will blow up balloons
We will do a lot of things
I am sleepy now
Come into my dreams
I will wait...!
PARADISE
Yesterday meeting
Today shopping
Tomorrow sightseeing
Each moment with you
Feel, I'm in paradise!

Haiku Has Much More Diversity Than Before : Dr. Shailesh Gupta Veer

When some people say that please be reminded that a 'Haiku' is not only 5/7/5 syllablic but also must be about nature, then becomes necessary to discuss it in modern contexts. The prevalence of the subject must be accepted in changing times. Currently, haiku are being written in many languages of the world. In Hindi, haiku are being written on each & every subject/topic. There is always the possibility of experimentation in poetry.

You may agree or disagree. Your concept may be different or the same. In this context, I am a bit liberal. You can argue with a disagreement that for example the sonnet has its format rules. Yet many break from the norm. The same happens in 'haiku' which is Japanese in origin. A haiku is a haiku...it has its rules. So I want to say that It is up to you how you accept it. What do we take from tradition and what we can do new. I have clarified my opinion. A haiku is a haiku, but now Haiku is much more powerful and has much more diversity than before. We should be progressive. I think, this is a must for modern poetry.

Although the word Senryu is also used for haiku for subjects other than nature, but under the same format, In modern era there is no justification for different names on the basis of subject only, while other things are the same. Haiku is currently being written in several formats (on the basis of syllables count). Means It can be said that in modern poetry many types of relaxation have been taken in the format. This is the motion of time. We have to accept change with time. Modern poetry supports it. In such a situation, if the subject has expanded in the process of writing haiku, then we should accept it without hesitation.

Micropoems in Hindi by Melina Papa [Greece], Translated From English by Dr. Shailesh Gupta Veer [India]

Micropoems by Melina Papa

Give a helping hand
to orphans
and
homeless,
Because -
for sure
God will protect you
and forever
bless!

Fire victims
are leaving
their homes,
Bursts in tears,
even
the Thunderstorm!

As
It is
Falling the night,
My thoughts run
By your side…!

Forgive even
your worst
Enemy,
To better once
For all our
Humanity!

Micropoems by Dr. Shailesh Gupta Veer

Become Firefly
Don't sleep
Fight with the darkness!
If you can't be
The sun or the moon
Become firefly!!
Mother
For the happiness of sons
A mother -
Divided into pieces,
Life has passed!
When She Blushed
Then whole atmosphere was
filled with sweetness
my heart started playing
like a guitar
the clouds floated in the sky
and the sky became pink,
When she gave me
a red rose
and blushed!
