My Seamstress, Mother of Mine, a Micropoem by Alessandro Russo

You smile at your thoughts
when they bare come,
you fit their figure
and define the garment
that most suits them,
sewing words
that can tell them
without stiffening,
without constraining them
to rise on tiptoe
to lenghten
some short reason.

Alessandro Russo was born in Castellammare di Stabia (Naples - Italy). He is the author of several books of poetry and has been awarded many national and international poetry awards.

Rare Flower, a Micropoem by Angela Kosta

Lost
In vain I searched for a flower
That it had your sweet scent
I came back empty-handed
And while I've seen you sleep
Spellbound
I understood that nothing and no one
Not even a rare flower
It would compare to your beauty
to your irresistible freshness

He saw the faces of humans
He become one of them
He saw the body of humans
He created onebody

A Piece of Bread, A Micropoem by Angela Kosta

A piece of bread
To fill your stomach
For day and night;
Life Partner,
Who screams miserable existence,
Wait, just wait,
It will end in a short time!
To be born
Defeated by cruel fate
Whose fault is all this?
Am I guilty of myself?
Were we unwanted by God?

Eggs, a Micropoem by Nolcha Fox

I am a womb of scrambled eggs,
a yolk beaten into a chick,
an empty nest denying
I float on water,
roe swimming out of caviar,
a fish net over the moon,
a moon in the womb,
a womb of scrambled eggs.

Three Micropoems by Eva Petropoulou Lianou

We Are Same
We are different
But we are same in pain
In love
In kindness
In depression
In heartbreak
In loss
We are same...!

Save Ourselves
Tree,
Breathe in
Breathe out
The days of hapiness just finished in a hot day of July
We choose to save ourselves
Or to
Save the life of the planet!

Free Your Mind
Life
Is a big chain
In between there are many little or big connections
If one is broken...
The chain will be weak
And this is the big opportunity
Free your mind

Life
Life
Like a butterfly
Every minute with passion
and dedication!
Evergreen Memory
I knew a boy years ago
He dissapear in my dreams
Make a life
I saw him again
He had become a man of power
He was an Angel.
Probably Never
LoveProbably never
Can you give it free?
Friends
Can you find them?
Probably never!
Create Everything
Some people are born lucky
They have everything
Some others
They create everything

With Blowing Winds, a Micropoem by Ranjana Kashyap

Let's dance and make jealous
the angels around the heaven,
Come closer and remove my veil
I am waiting!
An Obstacle
between the osculation of
light of our hearts,
Let the veil swirl with
blowing winds!!

Micropoems on Light

● Jyotirmaya Thakur [United Kingdom]
I stood and watched
The day unfold in morning light
Like petals of a flower
Pushed by wind power!
Twilight caught the breeze
As Sun was setting
On the wings of birds
The light was sleeping
Leaving the sandy shores behind!

● Mir Samsul Haque [India]
I'm ablaze sulkily for thousand twilight's
Her scarce arrival puts me in the ignition of fiercely flame
Oh, luminous luna you may cognize the pinches of my heart
You aflame all alone on the azure veil
Be a witness of my lonely griefs!

● Lilian Woo [Malaysia]
Glorious morning
The sun flashes vibrant light
Brighten up the day
The glow of blooming blossoms
Is emitting sweet fragrance.
[Tanka: 5-7-5-7-7]
crimson rays of light
let it shine, light up your life
bless with happiness.
[Haiku: 5-7-5]

● Ranjana Kashyap [India]
It's a bright waking night!
Tonight is the festival of lamps,
The sky is showering the stars,
But I was unaware ;
One day for us in the pavement of my heart,
So many lamps of love will light up,
One day life will be so bright with your love,
I was so unaware of this!

● Jaipreet Grover [India]
Seen or unseen
Illuminates with celestial rays
The power of phosporescent inner light
Is bestowed by the divine light
To enlighten your True Self
Just use it wise!

● Nishat Jabeen [Saudi Arabia]
My truth is in the clasp of gloomy despair
O' Lord of the all Heavens pass a command to the universal lamp
Sprinkle a little more twinkles
And shimmer not just to the dusky countenance
But enlighten to my shadowy existence.

● Jyoti Nair [India]
Sugar maples scamper into our porticos,
drenched in orange-ostentatious conundrums,
ambling through our variegated lives...
our lives; these anagrams of 'abendrot' vine-longings!
[ *Abendrot, is a German word; it means evening red, sunset glow, sunset-light, purple light, afterglow, sunset.]

● Maid Corbic [Bosnia and Herzegovina]
Lightness into the darkness place
Nature brings always new emotions
Which take this place full of charm
And nobody can say that it is illusion
Since we live into the present stage!

● Sumil Sharma [India]
In my darkest sleepless nights
Her touch gives me the courage to see the light
To stand against the fear and fight
Through the gloomy night
And finally see the sight of the light
A Mother's Touch, the perpetual might.

I Can't Forget, A Micropoem by Zdenka Mlinar

I can't forget and never will
Our escape from the war
without you,
I can't forget your faith
In people who were so evil
I can't, oh star of our sky,
Because today
more than ever,
I need that faith!

Bilingual Micropoems by Ramina Herrera Arteaga

< Spanish & English >

El encanto de la brisa
aviva el alma,
tu sonrisa...
mi mirada.
The charm of the breeze
revive the soul,
your smile...
my look.

No quedan más rocíos,
solamente rosas
a mitad del camino.
No more dew left,
only roses
half way.

Ha resplandecido el cristal
en la hoguera,
una tarde cualquiera
de música y arena.
The crystal has shone
at the stake,
any afternoon
of music and sand.

Misterio de estrofas y campos,
que llenas mi alma
a la muerte del día.
Mystery of stanzas and fields,
that you fill my soul
to the death of the day.

Miro cómo todo me es ajeno,
como si de pronto no existiera
como si el aullido
de ese perro no me tocara,
como si todo fuera nada.
I look at how everything is alien to me,
as if suddenly it did not exist
as if the howl
of that dog did not touch me,
as if everything were nothing.

Si caminando se hace caminos
porque no encontré el tuyo al andar,
si amando se construye cariño
porque no encontré el
tuyo
al amar.
If walking paths are made
because I did not find yours when I was walking,
if loving is built, darling
because I did not find
you
when loving.

Amanecer de rocíos tiernos
violáceo cielo que me dice
"te quiero."
Dawn of tender dews
purple sky that tells me
"I love you."
□

En tí habito,
habitas en mi
que más ofrecerte
solo mis células
que hablan de ti.
I live in you,
you live in me
what else to offer you
only my cells that
talk about you.

Micropoems by Rachana Sood

Cresent
if you can't be
a full moon,
be Cresent
incomplete yet beautiful.
Bonsai
They pruned her branches
and made her feel small
now no bird could
ever make a nest
sing a song of love or stall
she knows -
she is just for decoration,
whenever she will
try to grow
they will cut her again.
Cactus
To protect her inner peace
she grew thorns
on her outer surface,
people call her cactus
but only she knew the pain
of being untouchable
and unaproachable,
still people cut her
but she grow again.
a strength you rarely heard of.
Sesquipedalian Poet
Sesquipedalian poet
Weaving Gossamer of words.
Convulated to abecedarian,
Like a conundrum.
Learning this art may
seem strenuous,
but your verses will be sumptuous.
