Micropoems on Light

● Jyotirmaya Thakur [United Kingdom]
I stood and watched
The day unfold in morning light
Like petals of a flower
Pushed by wind power!
Twilight caught the breeze
As Sun was setting
On the wings of birds
The light was sleeping
Leaving the sandy shores behind!

● Mir Samsul Haque [India]
I'm ablaze sulkily for thousand twilight's
Her scarce arrival puts me in the ignition of fiercely flame
Oh, luminous luna you may cognize the pinches of my heart
You aflame all alone on the azure veil
Be a witness of my lonely griefs!

● Lilian Woo [Malaysia]
Glorious morning
The sun flashes vibrant light
Brighten up the day
The glow of blooming blossoms
Is emitting sweet fragrance.
[Tanka: 5-7-5-7-7]
crimson rays of light
let it shine, light up your life
bless with happiness.
[Haiku: 5-7-5]

● Ranjana Kashyap [India]
It's a bright waking night!
Tonight is the festival of lamps,
The sky is showering the stars,
But I was unaware ;
One day for us in the pavement of my heart,
So many lamps of love will light up,
One day life will be so bright with your love,
I was so unaware of this!

● Jaipreet Grover [India]
Seen or unseen
Illuminates with celestial rays
The power of phosporescent inner light
Is bestowed by the divine light
To enlighten your True Self
Just use it wise!

● Nishat Jabeen [Saudi Arabia]
My truth is in the clasp of gloomy despair
O' Lord of the all Heavens pass a command to the universal lamp
Sprinkle a little more twinkles
And shimmer not just to the dusky countenance
But enlighten to my shadowy existence.

● Jyoti Nair [India]
Sugar maples scamper into our porticos,
drenched in orange-ostentatious conundrums,
ambling through our variegated lives...
our lives; these anagrams of 'abendrot' vine-longings!
[ *Abendrot, is a German word; it means evening red, sunset glow, sunset-light, purple light, afterglow, sunset.]

● Maid Corbic [Bosnia and Herzegovina]
Lightness into the darkness place
Nature brings always new emotions
Which take this place full of charm
And nobody can say that it is illusion
Since we live into the present stage!

● Sumil Sharma [India]
In my darkest sleepless nights
Her touch gives me the courage to see the light
To stand against the fear and fight
Through the gloomy night
And finally see the sight of the light
A Mother's Touch, the perpetual might.

Four Micropoems by Nolcha Fox

Frosted I fill in what I cannot see with my dark imagination. Back light lets me guess the tale behind your hidden features. If only I could...
