Eight Micropoems by Hiba Abu Nada

We are in  Gaza before God,
Between an martyr and a witness on the Liberation,
and we are all waiting for where we will be,
We are all waiting for your promise of truth!

If we die,
know that we are content and steadfast,
and let them know that we are the righteous!

Whenever a line is crooked on the map of Palestine
Between the cities, the bullets are corrected.
Eraser for kids, cities correct mistakes with bullets,
Gaza for example.

The wish that we, the people of Gaza,
Know; Everyday I used to choose your senses,
why am I wearing a jilbab and you wearing a shoroud?
An the occasion has changed!
I'm going to die and you're going to heaven!
What a loss, I wish we together!

When we go to our Lord,
we will tell him to answer at
the Arabs and the brothers in
the second division of the homeland first.

It's like this, we are all in a open field,
Snails are exhausted from the siege
and death carries a huge barge and waves
it at us left and right,
We all die and the field is empty and the Snails fly!

This night will be difficult we will be cut of them
all the causes of the earth,
and we will not be cut off from the causes of the sky,
In God's farewell Gaza one by one.

No time for big funerals and proper goodbyes,
No time for much time,
There's a sensational rocket coming,
We'll settle for a sneaky kiss on the forehead
and a quick goodbye and wait for the new death,
No time for goodbyes...!

Three Micropoems by Shafkat Aziz Hajam

Came Down
A boulder came down a hill lock
It slipped over a big rock
And it blocked the way
From school kept me away
As to school I couldn’t walk.

I Thought
My brother asked for a cup of tea
I prepared for him as I was free
I thought he would feel nice
He asked for water thrice
No sugar! Chillies I’d put into the tea!

No Reason
There is a man with long stiff moustaches
With them his front body he scratches
Once he scratched his son
He’d no reason else than fun
Now his whole body has band aid patches.

Four Micropoems by Mir Samsul Haque

Sameness
Same space
Same sunlight
Same earth
As of now...
Same night.
Same moon
And this sameness in shambles!

My Own Shadow
My unrestrained tears telling
A turbulent story
That I'll stay forever alone with my hurt
On the time's steps, Im incapable of recognize my own shadow!

Recall
How long should I pursue
My pseudo passion
I feel this deeply
My self is same but in shame
When I recall your name!

Desires
I'm a dreamer
My desires will never die
My hope lies
Above the ochre dust
Where despair dies!

Five Micropoems by Sabyasachi Nazrul

Suddenly
I am walking alone in the shade one night,
Walking and wondering when the sunrise will be
Suddenly! Who is this newcomer in white clothes?
The moon peeks out from behind the clouds.

Old Crying
In the grave of an old child next to a hundred years cemetery,
Old mosque or in the middle of the night,
The sound of crying is coming
Animals still crying in the flower gardens!

War
The roads were supposed to be
Snowed under the rubble, but where!
Being fired, bullets are raining down
Weapons are ringing, who won?

Fasting
If I fast and pray
I will be happy,
The Lord will reward me
With best gifts
Progress and regress.

I Want Peace
I do not want war,
I want peace, peace and peace
We want peace,
We want a world of peace!

Six Micropems by Jatinder Aulakh

Wave
Don't say me
goodbye!
I am ocean
and
you are a wave,
You will have to
come back
In my arms!

Mirror
They Said that we don't
Want to see your face.
I replied, "I have no face,
I am a mirror".

Newspaper
Reading the newspaper
in the morning
And waiting for a cup of coffee
Is like exploring the world at home.

Light
Demon of past
Forced me to slavery
Of unfavorable and
Unpleasant concerns.
A prodigious light
Came upon me
To unchained my spirit.
I am unconstrained now.

A Sage in Contemplation
A Banyan tree standing quite
Wind blows and leaves play music
Birds come to spend the night.
I can't understand his dialect.
I can just watch
A sage in deep contemplation
From ancient ages.

Restive Souls
I am laying
in the open courtyard
looking at the flying clouds,
In dim light
A flying bird appeared on the sky,
Suffocated night
And some loafing
Restive souls.

Three Micropoems by Rajeshri Senapati Gogoi

An Unfelt Promise
Love is an invisible force
Whoever burns feels life
An unfelt promise
who tells everything
In a silent way!

Feelings
Passion know we see
The best and most beautiful things in the world
It cannot be seen or touched,
But
The heart only can feel!

Hide and Seek
I want to blossom into a beautiful memory
in your heart
With the toras of the blue sky
I want to play hide and seek, and get lost
A lonely night, when a tired mind wants to rest
Will you respond with your hands outstretched
I'm tired and want to rest today, by your side!
