Micropoems by Jyotirmaya Thakur

Disillusion
Along sidewalk loners crave
A white butterfly flies in wonder
In peace safely surrenders
Coffee is in the air
Cobwebs drops on the hair
Confusion turns to disillusion!
August Stars
The sky is full of beauty
With August stars falling
Wishes fly in rows
End of Summer days
Calm surface of lake
Absorbs the twilight rays!
□
Display
Taste of morning tea
With dawn in delicate rays
Through icicles transparent
Artistry of snow
on display!
Gray
Looming laden clouds
Blanket the bustling streets
And storms paint the sky
Black skyscrapers scratch
At something beyond the gray!
Martyrdom
As white flakes drift down
Thousands of faces
Turning to the Sun
A minute’s silence
For martyrdom in vain
The wind also dies!
Forest Shudders
The forest shudders
Watching bear cubs
Walking through the glen
Hunting season has begun
 Poachers prowling
The monsoon rain sweeps
Through trees tossing!
Unsafe
Wisteria bloom in waves
While she waits in a cafe
With wandering thoughts unsafe
Unrehearsed for the first date .

Frosted I fill in what I cannot see with my dark imagination. Back light lets me guess the tale behind your hidden features. If only I could...
