Four Micropoems on Love by Debashree Basak

HAND IN HAND
Smitten by your innate charm
I surrendered myself,
looking into your eyes
Heralding new beginnings,
with promises of love
Hand in hand for eternity and beyond.
□
INTO THE SUNSET
Let’s weave love in the tapestry of life
Nurturing hope, trust and loyalty
Treading the highs and lows,
let’s walk into the sunset
Loving each other indubitably till our fag end.
I DO
The moonlit ebony sky celebrated our togetherness
In silence we communicated
the language of love
The ambrosial zephyr caressed our bond
The entire cosmos reverberated
as we muttered “I do.”
□
MYSTICAL FRAGRANCE
Oh, dear Love, drench me with your hypnotic glow
Coddling my senses to feel your aura
Enamored by your mystical fragrance
I yearn to be with you
forever and ever.
